Ep 1 - Life's Journey towards Fulfillment: My YCET theory for building a fulfilling life

In this episode of Growmance, Pavi shares her YCET Fulfillment theory, which helps you embark on a journey to lead a fulfilled life. In today's world of constant stress, pressure and influences, the YCET theory will make you feel positive, energetic and focused to ultimately unlock your fullest potential. Dominant cultural narratives send us messages that we are not enough and true happiness comes from wealth and having a successful career. No matter how much success we see in our professional lives, there is always something better. The truth is happiness doesn't come external things, fulfillment comes from witnessing your own growth.  When you're able to hit the pause button and reflect on substantial changes in your life, you feel a sense of meaning and purpose. Listen to this episode to find out what YCET stands for and how you can apply this theory in your daily lives to lead a fulfilled life.

Ep 2 - The Secret to unlocking your potential: Building healthy habits that will set you up for success

"You cannot change your future, you can change your habits and surely your habits will change your future”, Dr. Abdul Kalam, Former President of India. In this episode of Growmance, Pavi shares the secret to unlocking your potential, how you can undergo paradigm shifts and change yourself fundamentally by upgrading your lifestyle. Creating habits makes reaching your goals easier and they last for the long haul. Habits are the compound interest of personal growth. The same way that money multiplies through compound interest, the effects of your habits multiply as you repeat them. They seem to make little difference on any given day and yet the impact they deliver over the months and years can be enormous. It is only when looking back two, five, or perhaps ten years later that the value of good habits and the cost of bad ones becomes strikingly apparent. In this episode, Pavi shares the 10 healthy habits that she has been focusing on and the 4 golden laws to build lasting habits that was discussed in the book Atomic Habits.

Ep 3 - Unlearning in the time of continuous learning

Should we fail to raise ourselves up to the occasion, it will be a collective failure of our human species to evolve. Sounds audacious? In this episode of Gromance, Pavi discusses the paradigm shifts in technology, leadership and socio-economic conditions in the 21st century and the importance of learning to unlearn. Unlearning is an art of letting go of old knowledge, skills, information or habits in order to make a room for new ideas and learning which might be better for success in life. We have to recognize and accept that the old techniques, knowledge and perception on which we have been relying on are no longer effective or relevant. This is most challenging because most of us are sublimely unaware of our mindset and perceptions. We just employ them and those remains on auto pilot mode. In addition to this, it can be difficult to accept that your existing model is getting out-dated. Many of you have built your reputations and careers on the mastery of these old models. Letting go may seems to you like starting over all again and losing the authority, status, or even your sense of self. Since the world is changing at the speed of thoughts, developing qualities like adaptability, feeling comfortable and accepting new challenges and changes around you, practicing  mindfulness and staying curious will help you achieve success.

Ep 4 - Do soulmates exist? Looking within yourself and managing expectations for a lasting relationship

How to find your perfect partner? Is there such a thing as a soulmate? These are difficult yet important questions to ask and think about. In this episode of Growmance, Pavi dives deeper into realizing the meaning of love, knowing yourself and managing expectations.

We are busy searching for a partner who matches our expectations, that we have forgotten the meaning of true love and taking love beyond words to make it an enduring quality within.  We all want marriages or relationships to last for a lifetime and take a vow to commit ourself to the relationship, but not all marriages last for a lifetime, why is that so? The moment some expectations and requisites are not fulfilled, we are not able to live happily with the other person and things fall apart. Love is a sweet emotion that we experience within ourselves. Love is not about someone, it is someone you become. The expectations that most people are creating are such that there is no human being on the planet who could ever fulfill those expectations. In this episode, Pavi shares a short story, talks about her experience and discusses the teachings of Sadhguru, an Indian Monk and founder of Isha Foundation.

Ep 5 - Closer look at Empathy: Is empathy a double-edged sword?

In this episode of Growmance, Pavi shares different philosophies on empathy. For decades, a lot of emphasis has been put on certain aspects of intelligence such as logical reasoning, math skills, spatial skills, linguistic skills etc. Researchers were puzzled by the fact that while IQ could predict to a significant degree academic performance and, to some degree, professional and personal success, there was something missing in the equation because research showed that people with fabulous IQ scores were doing poorly in life by thinking, behaving and communicating in a way that hindered their chances to succeed. The missing part in the success equation is emotional intelligence, a concept made popular by the groundbreaking book by Daniel Goleman. In this episode, Pavi shares David Goleman’s framework for emotional intelligence and discusses how it can impact our career and personal lives. She also shares interesting concepts of empathy inspired by Paul Bloom, author of “Against Empathy” and Jamil Zaki, author of “War of Kindness: Building empathy in a fractured world” and whether it is actually doing more harm than good.

Ep 6 - Fireside chat with Sandhya: Developing Meditation, Sleep and Exercise habits

Are you working on building good habits to improve the quality of your lifestyle? This episode is inspired by the second episode titled 'Lifestyle design: E2: The secret to unlocking your potential and determining your future' where Pavi talks about 10 effective habits and the 4 golden laws discussed in the book Atomic Habits. Habits are the compound interest of personal growth. In this episode, Pavi and Sandhya discuss three habits that they are both exploring and developing : (1) Meditation (2) Sleep (3)Exercise. They deep dive into why these three habits are important to them and how they are implementing these habits in their daily lives. Working on your daily habits seem to make little difference on any given day and yet the impact they deliver over the months and years can be enormous. Listen to find out how two friends working in Tech are developing healthy habits toward a fulfilling lifestyle.

Ep 7 - Monk Mindset for dealing with negativity

In this episode of Growmance, Pavi shares her experience on how she overcame the negative naysayers stomping on her dreams and leaves you with a monk mindset concept to train your mind to not be affected by negativity.

No matter where you find yourself on the big game board of life you’re going to have people enter your life who will talk negatively, hurt your feelings and pull you down. In fact the more successful you are and the more you challenge the status quo, the more you hear these negative comments. Pavi shares a monk mindset that you can cultivate for developing inner peace and pleasantness within you and not letting other people’s actions control what’s happening within you and focus on creating your own success and in turn being an inspiration for others.

Ep 8 - Mindsets That Shape Our Lives: Fixed vs Growth Mindset

In this episode of Growmance, Pavi shares the differences growth mindset and fixed mindset, her personal experience and stories of other successful people. The growth mindset concept was coined by Carol Dweck, world renowned psychologist to describe the underlying beliefs about learning and intelligence. Most of us might have read self-help books that tell us "how to be our best self",  "failure is an opportunity and not a condemnation", "effort is the key to success", but still we might not be able to put these concepts into practice, why is that so? Mindset are powerful beliefs. Learn about how to shift your mindset and embrace failure that can be a stepping stone to success and growth.
